Installing on Linux
===================

Software requirements
---------------------

Any relatively recent Linux distribution with up-to-date graphics drivers should
work, as long as you have an X11 server and the following dependencies are
installed:

* ``gtk3`` >= 3.24

Installing from crownengine.org
-------------------------------

`Download the Crown tarball <https://www.crownengine.org/download>`_, then
extract its contents to your preferred location.

Navigate to the extracted folder and launch the Crown Editor by double-clicking
the ``crown-launcher`` executable.

Installing from Package Manager
-------------------------------

On Arch Linux, you can install Crown directly from the Arch User Repository
(AUR):
